Mural PALERMO PALERMO - Elberfelder Str. 23

The Pina Bausch dance piece PALERMO PALERMO from 1989, created on a trip to Palermo and in co-production with the Teatro Biondo Stabile, Palermo, and Andres Neumann International, meets Andrea Buglisi from Palermo, who cultivates his own unique, collage-like pop-art style.

For this mural, the artist was inspired by a photograph by the Berlin photographer Oliver Look and concentrated on two dancers: Ophelia Young and Tsai Yu Chin. Buglisi found both dancers to be particularly powerful and expressive in their dynamic movements.
