CASE MACLAIM is a German urban artist from Frankfurt and also an extremely talented graffiti artist. In his works, he combines brilliant photorealism with a strong touch of surrealism. His visual vocabulary is mostly based on elements of the human body, which he abstracts and supplements with new, narrative, frightening, animalistic or mythical elements.

The creation of the HEIMAT mural at Schlieperstraße 21 in the Ostersbaum district is the result of a conversation with the Association for the Support of the Deaf. The connection here lies in the use of hands: While deaf people need them as a means of communication, Case paints them as a symbol of creative power.
