OPENAIR MUSEUM FOR URBAN ART
The Urbane Kunstraum Wuppertal (UKW) is a project of the non-profit association WupperOne929 UrbanArt e. V. and is designed as a permanent open-air museum spread across the Wuppertal city area with exhibits by international street artists on local themes in order to create awareness of the diversity of urban art, promote its participatory character, enable cultural participation, design home space in a hip way and actively and creatively reconnect people with their city (home) space.

People from the districts of Wuppertal along the valley axis are involved in a series of podcasts in open work and discussion processes on the subject of home and identity in order to work out the unique selling points of their hoods.
The special features of the Wuppertal hoods are gradually being transformed into wall art by international street artists along the valley axis from Vohwinkel to Langerfeld-Mitte, leaving behind stories from the individual neighborhoods and their people.
The international interventions are accompanied by various actions that have an impact on urban space, our HoodActions, in the form of educational (e.g. artist talks), practical (e.g. graffiti workshop) and/or meeting opportunities (food, drink, meetings).
